If you are looking to strengthen your transfer case on your jeep you came to the right place. On of the downfalls of jeeps are the strength of transfer cases. Having a Jeep WJ and talking to other owner I learned the having the right transfer case is important. My Jeep WJ came with a np247 transfer case. That is the transfer case for the Quadra drive WJ’s. Quadra drive is a good option for a all-wheel drive conditions but other then that they don’t hold up well off-roading. Swapping in a HD NP242 transfer case helped strengthen my driveline and give me two other driving options 2wd and Part time 4wd.
